The Body Butter stocked at the Body Shop hold a huge variety of scents and ranges for different skin types. As i have fairly 'normal' skin (although my skin can be prone to break outs and other irritations) i dont normally have a problem with things such as finding a product that suits me as almost everything can so for me it is finding a prefrence rather than finding a product that will work for me.
The Body Butters that the Body Shop sells is really good. I love the veriety and am currently using their strawberry Butters and their Cherry and even their Passionfruit which is sold under Papya. So i am testing a lot of different ones at the moment.
I am finding them to be amazing. My favourite would have to be the strawberry but i am a huge strawberry fan anyway ( favourite fruit :) ) This product is non-greasy and is at a very good price. They stock 2 sizes that of the 50ml at a cost of $10 and the 200ml ones costing $30. I have the strawberry and Papya at 200ml and the cherry at 50ml but only because i thought that it would be a bit much to buy 600ml of a procuct i had not used yet so i bought 450ml i know not a big difference but i love strawberry and cherry so i think i made the right choice for me.
I am spreading the word about the Body Shops Body Butters amoung my friends and they all seem to have the same experience with these products so i guess this backs up my claims even more :)
    Happy Testing

This is another great body butter from TBS. The scent is nice and not overpowering. Body butters are great for use in the winter, but in summer months it's best to stick with a lighter formula. Eventhough, this has been discontinued there are many other wonderful body butters out there.

This scent grew on me. I hated it when I first bought it and wore it, but it is ok for occasional use now. That butter formula is amazing. Very hydrating and soothing. It was perfect for itchy winter skin. It is a shame they discontinued it.

I can't believe they discontinued this :( This was the BEST thing I have used on my dry skin. At first I didn't like the smell of it, but I tried it on my eczema and it cleared it within days! No other product has ever done that before. Also, I have tried other Body Shop body butters (mango and shea) and this is hands down the best. It goes on smoothly, melts into your skin, and really heals the dryness.

This is really fantastic stuff! The texture is smooth and silky, it spreads like a dream and soaks in fairly quickly for a product intended for very dry skin. It moisturizes all day and makes my skin feel like a newborn's. The smell is very pleasant (akin to almonds) and very light, so it doesn't interfere with perfume. Unfortunately, the sesame line is being discontinued, but if the other butters are even half as good as this one, I'm sold!

I love all the Body Butters. Sesame has a very sweet and subtle scent and feels wonderful on my skin. Good for those who aren't fans of the overpowering smells of the other butters.

I'm not a big body shop person...their products tend to be a little fragranced for me. But, I love their body butters...the consistency and moisturizing quality of their butters if fantastic. The sesame is my favorite body butter. I love the scent - it's clean & feminine but not too much. It wears well throughout the day while keeping me moisturized. continued >>

I love this product! I love the light seseme smell. It doesn't fight with my perfumes. I am not a fan of the price. I think it's pretty high for what you get. I use it over my whole body everyday so it really doesn't last me long. This is the only moisturizer that gets rid of my eczema in the winter. I bought this at a body shop home party and the girl told me that they are discontuning this scent this month. What a bummer.

I don't know why I waited so long to try the Sesame Body Butter! It is now my absolute favorite. It works wonders on my super dry skin and has my favorite texture of all the body butters for dry to very dry skin. It's not thick and greasy like the shea butter, but light and creamy. It goes on easily and sinks right in, leaving me moisturized all day. Plus the smell is wonderful - light, slightly nutty and very comforting. I also own Nut, Shea and Olive (my 2nd favorite, plus I love the Olive scrub), but Sesame is the best if you have very dry skin. A definite re-purchase!!

I am a fan of almost all of The Body Shop's body butters, but this one is one of my favorites because the texture is very different. Instead of being creamy, this is more of a "fluffy" texture, almost airy, yet still very thick and moisturizing. The scent reminds me of almonds more than sesame, but it smells fantastic. I was disappointed that I did not see this scent the last time I visited The Body Shop. I checked the website and it is still available online.

I finally picked up a tub of this body butter, and all I can say is, WOW. It feels so much lighter and less greasy than the other body butters, yet still moisturizes like a dream--plus it's in my favorite scent by TBS. I do use a plastic spoon to apply it though, as it is more sanitary that way, and I wish they made this in a smaller tub like they do the other body butters (easier for travel) but still, this is my absolute favorite body butter now! Will DEFINITELY repurchase.

This is the BEST body butter out there. It is not at all hard to get out of the container and it goes on soft and silky, leaving my skin feeling awesome! The moisturizer lasts a long time and my summer legs have lost that "flaky" look! The scent is light but awesome, making it practical for every day use since it's not overpowering. Bottom line? I LOVE THIS BODY BUTTER!!!!

GOOD LORD i agree with everyone here!! this works wonders for my skin.. i have a few eczema spots and i apply this on at night and all the dryness and bumps are drastically reduced in the morning!! after just ONE app!! i am impressed!! the smell doesn't really smell like sesame tho :) more like almond i agree. nonetheless very refreshing!! moisturizes all day!! The price is a little high for what you get tho. $18ea. i got this during their promo of 2/$30 so a little better i guess. I wouldn't say the price is extremely high like the ORIGIN creams!! they are way up there in price and doesn't do half as good a job as the sesame body butter!!.. I find that the sesame one is the special underrated one in the line. The others i've tried are ok..eg. papaya but i always go back to sesame for targetted areas!. i have already bought a back up, but i don't think i'll be needed it for a while since i only use this body butter for targetted areas!! LOVE this!!
UPDATE: this works very well for my eczema spots, but doesn't really do anything for my dry skin... wierd.. eczema is 100% gone within a week!! AMAZING!
Oh yeah amazingly this is NOT greasy at all!! love the texture!! i usually stir the entire contents before using it for the first time. This makes it creamier and a lot easier to work with, and i use a little spoon to scoop out the amount i need to keep the tub sanitary :))) HTH

I love the Sesame body butter because of the creamy consistency. It glides on my skin smoothly. It is not greasy at all although it says it's for very dry skin. The scent is nice but I like the scent in Shea Body Butter better. Will definitely repurchase over and over again.

This is my favorite of all the body butters. The scent is subtle, and fades quickly, which is great if you wear perfume. As far as moisturizing, it made my skin soft and lasted all day. Not too greasy either.

If you're looking for a winter moisturizer with a mild scent this body butter is perfect. Personally I like nutty scents so this one was a no brainer. I use it on my dry elbows and it works great!
